A name on the inside of the band

Atelier Collet was founded in Lyon in 1986 on a conviction that has only grown more relevant: jewelry should be traceable, repairable, and honestly priced. Every piece we make is designed, set, and polished under one roof in our Lyon studio, by a bench team led by a GIA Graduate Gemologist — and every piece carries its maker's mark inside the band, where only the wearer knows to look.

We work in Fairmined gold (certified since 2014) and conflict-free diamonds sourced with documented origin — stones traced to Canada, Botswana, Colombia, and Madagascar, with paperwork the client receives, not just the wholesaler.

What we make

  • Bespoke commissions: engagement rings and heirloom reworkings, sketched and modeled with you before a single stone is set.
  • Daily-wear fine jewelry: the $1,500–$15,000 pieces designed to be lived in, not locked away.
  • Lifetime restoration: cleaning, re-tipping, re-sizing, and refinishing for as long as the piece exists.

Our pricing model is the maison's opposite: transparent. Clients see the metal weight, the stone spec, and the atelier fee as separate lines — because a mystery markup is not romance, it is just markup. What we keep from the old ateliers is the standard: hand-finished settings, stone-matched pairs, and the patience to make a piece twice if the first attempt doesn't sing.

Why Lyon

Lyon's quiet precision suits our pace. Our clients come from France and far beyond, but most arrive the same way: sent by someone wearing our work. Atelier Collet is ethical fine jewelry, designed and hand-finished in Lyon — traceable stones, Fairmined gold, transparent pricing, and a bench that answers for every piece it signs.
